Tickets for Paris on the seventh bought and paid for. Thank God, I have discovered in my computer files a copy of the essay on Homer that I thought I'd lost last year after working on it for two solid years. It will be tough to round it off and complete it, but it is one of the best things I have ever done and I want to see if I can get it published for a change.

You know how sometimes people on your friends list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when were they working THERE? I am not well and rather low in energy. I have an obstinately infected scratch in a leg that simply will not heal, and I have been prescribed some antibiotics that don't seem to be doing a whole lot of good - the swelling and stiffness are there still - but are, on the other hand, cutting down my energy and vigour.
